Invites Applications for Registration for the following Courses under Correspondence, External & Open University Schemes for the Academic Year 2008-2009


1. CORRESPONDENCE COURSES
B.A (Kannada / English Medium)
B.Com (English Medium only)
BBM (English Medium only)

DURATION: 3 years
ELIGIBILITY: Pass in Pre-University Examination of Kamataka or any equivalent examination thereto (10+2 pattern)

MA (Kannada, English, Hindi, Telugu, Urdu)
DURATION : 2 years
ELIGIBILITY: B.A B.Sc / B.Com degree of any recognized University or equivalent degree thereto with 55% of marks in the language concerned under Part-I or 50% of marks in the concerned optional OR who have passed examination as Noted below shall be eligible for registration to Master's degree course along with the above degree.
a) Pass in Kannada Rathna or Pandit Examination for M.A in Kannada
b) Pass in Rastrabhasha Vistfarada Examination of Dakshinabharat Hindi Prachara Sabha or any other examination considered as equivalent thereto for M.A in Hindi.

PG Diploma in Transalation in Hindi
DURATION: 1 year
ELIGIBILITY: Any Degree of recognized University with HIndi as subject at the degree level OR any degree with pass in Rastra Basha Visharada or any other Equivalent Examination recognized thereto.


MA (History, Economics, Political Science, Sociology)
(Kannada / English Medium)
DURATION: 2 years
ELIGIBILITY: B.A degree of any recognized University or equivalent degree thereto with 40% of marks in the aggregate of the optional subjects and at least 50% of marks in the Concerned optional or major subjects of the course.

MA (Philosophy) (English Medium only)
DURATION: 2 years
ELIGIBILITY: Bachelor Degree of any recognized University or equivalent degree thereto with Philosophy, Logic, Ethics, Religion, Theology, Aesthetics, Yoga or Sanskrit as one of the Optional Subjects and at least 50% of marks in the concerned optional subject or those with a degree in Arts or Science with Minimum 50% of Marks in aggregate of optional are also eligible.

M.Com (English Medium only)
DURATION: 2 years
ELIGIBILITY: B.Com degree examination of any recognized University or equivalent degree thereto securing not less than 50% of marks in. the aggregate in Commerce subjects in all the examinations of the B.Com. Degree course.

M.Sc (Mathematics) (English Medium only)
DURATION: 2 years
ELIGIBILITY: B.Sc Degree of any recognized University or equivalent degree thereto securing not less than 40% of marks in the aggregate in optional subjects and 50% of marks in the Mathematics. (Candidates who have passed Mathematics as Minor or Subsidiary are not eligible)


2. EXTERNAL COURSES

MA in-Sanskrit
DURATION: 2 years
ELIGIBILITY: BA / B.Sc / B.Com degree of any recognized University or equivalent degree thereto with 55% marks language con cerned under Part-I OR those who have passed. B.A / B.Sc / B.Com degree examination and who have passed Sahitya examination shall be eligible for registration to Master Degree in Sanksrit.

MA in French
DURATION: 2 years
ELIGIBILITY: B.A French or B.A / B.Sc / B.Com with French as second language of any recognized University and with a mini- mum of 55% of aggregate marks OR B.A / B.Sc / B.Com of Bangalore University or any other University recognized as equivalent thereto with Diploma of Superior of the Alliance Franchise in any other recognized Institution.


3. OPEN UNIVERSITY COURSES

B.A (Kannada / English Medium)
B.Com (English Medium only)
DURATION: 3 years
ELIGIBILITY: No educational qualification is prescribed Those who have completed 18 years of age as on 1st October 2008


4. POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA COURSES

i) Human Resource Management
ii) Business Administration
iii) Marketing Management
DURATION: 1 year
ELIGIBILITY: For all these courses any Degree of recognized University or equivalent degree thereto. Securing not less then 40% marks in aggregate including languages.


5. DIPLOMA COURSES

i) Applied Nutrition & Dietetics
(English Medium Only)
DURATION: 1 year
ELIGIBILITY: Pass in PUC or equivalent examination with Home Science / Chemistry as Optional Subject

6. CERTIFICATE COURSES (One Year Course)
i) Kannada,

ii) Nutrition & Dietetics

(English Medium only),

ELIGIBILITY: Pass in S.S.L.C OR Equivalent Examination

Candidates desirous of obtaining the prospectus shall send a self addressed envelope of 30 cm x 25 cm size affixing Postal stamp worth of Rs.100/- so as to reach on or before the due date with a Demand Draft of Rs.300/- drawn in favour of "Finance Officer, Bangalore University, Bangalore" payable at Bangalore towards the application fee mentioning the course for which the application is required to The Co-coordinator, Prasaranga Sales Unit, Central College, Palace Road, Bangalore-560 001.

APPLICATION FORMS FOR ALL COURSES WILL BE ISSUED FROM 24-10-2008 TO 29-11-2008 AND WITH A FINE OF Rs.100/- UPTO 15-12-2008 IN THE ABOVE MENTIONED BRANCHES OF STATE BANK OF MYSORE.
